Coaching
My approach to individual coaching includes an assessment of the issues, development of goals and action plan. It is a present-oriented, solution-focused approach.
A coach helps clients solve work and job-related challenges:
Achieving job and career goals
Supervising others
Organizing and setting priorities
Effectively managing challenging situations or people
Deciding to change careers or jobs
Many of us spend a significant portion of our lives at work. If you are happier and more fulfilled with your job, it is likely that you will be more productive at work and achieve your career and professional goals. However, our jobs can bring us misery if we approach work with dread, anxiety or low motivation. Work can be especially challenging if relationships at work are strained or difficult.
I have found that if clients are able to behave in a way that is accordance with their values, they will feel more satisfied at work. Sometimes clients make work and career choices to gain status or to appear successful or to simply make more money. Unfortunately, making decisions that run counter to one’s values brings short-lived satisfaction and happiness.
Both on-line and in-person sessions are available. It is recommended that the initial assessment (the first appointment) be in-person.
